Ovarian Cancer and Healing Prayer: Touching the Flow of Divine Power

Ovarian cancer is often described as a “silent” disease because its early symptoms—such as persistent abdominal bloating, pelvic pressure, a frequent urge to urinate, or a feeling of fullness after eating very little—can easily be mistaken for less serious conditions. For the woman facing this diagnosis, the weight of the report can feel like a “mountain” standing between her and her future. It is a time when the heart cries out for more than just a medical plan; it cries out for a direct touch from the Source of Life.

Many people spend their lives “waiting on God” for a move, not realizing that the move has already been made. Just as Jesus stood on a level spot surrounded by a vast throng of people who came specifically to be cured of their diseases, He stands ready today. In those moments, healing power was “all the while going forth from Him,” curing all who sought to touch Him. This power was not a limited resource; it was a constant flow that saved them from severe illnesses and calamities.

The Righteousness of Believing

What constitutes a person as righteous in the eyes of God? The example of Abraham gives us a simple yet profound answer: He believed God and acted accordingly. He did not determine the truth of God’s promise by watching his physical symptoms or his age. Instead, he believed and acted as if he had already received the fulfillment.

Righteousness is not about doing enough “good works” to earn a miracle; it is about the privilege of believing the report of the Lord over the report of the world. In the face of a diagnosis like ovarian cancer, you are called to the same high privilege. You are not waiting for God to become willing; His willingness was settled at the Cross. Your part is to believe that the “imperishable seed” of His Word has been planted, and it is God alone who makes that seed grow.

Scripture 1: Matthew 17:20

“…If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.”

The Present Work of the Spirit

There is a common misconception that divine healing was a special power reserved only for the original Apostles to prove their authority. However, Peter plainly stated that it was not by his own power or holiness that miracles occurred. The same “Spotless Lamb of God” who rose from the dead has obtained an eternal redemption for us. This redemption is not a future event; it is a present reality.

Just as the sun sets and the sick are brought to Him for the laying on of hands, the “God-factor” is available to you right now. Healing is the “children’s bread.” You are a new creature in Christ, a member of the “Israel of God,” and the promises of the Old and New Testaments belong to you. Do not let anyone take a scripture and say, “That’s not for you.” If you are a new creation, it is all yours.

Taking Possession of the Will

Legally speaking, the Bible is God’s Last Will and Testament. It is a document that bequeaths to you all the blessings of redemption. A will is only valid after the death of the testator—and Jesus, our Testator, died to make this will effective. But He did not stay dead. He was resurrected and now serves as the Mediator or the “Lawyer” of His own will. He is your Representative at the right hand of God, and He will not cheat you out of your inheritance.

If healing for your body is in the will, then saying the “age of miracles is past” is essentially saying the will is no longer valid. But the Master is with you “always, to the very end of the age.” The power that cured the multitude and raised the dead is the same power working in you. When you commit your case to Him, it passes out of your hands and into the hands of the Great Physician.

Scripture 2: John 20:31

“But these are written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that by believing ye might have life through his name.”

Watching the Promise, Not the Symptoms

One of the greatest challenges in the walk of faith is the temptation to watch symptoms instead of the promise. If you ascertain the will of God based on what you see, hear, and feel, you will find yourself watering down the Word to match your experience. Faith, however, is the “title deed” to what you have not yet seen.

When you have the deed to a home, you own that home before you ever step foot inside the door. Jesus said, “He that believeth, hath.” This means that even while your body may still report symptoms of illness, your spirit holds the deed to health. The Word of God, not your physical sensation, must be the basis of your faith. There is no time to stop looking at the promise until God withdraws His Word—and He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you.

A New Creation and a New Strength

You may have heard that you must “wait” for the right time, but God’s time is always “today.” Behold, now is the accepted time. When you pray, believe that you “take” it. This is not a matter of volume or how loud you can get; it is a matter of do you mean it and do you believe it.

The Holy Spirit fills you with strength. He is the Great I Am—Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. He provides the strength for your soul and the life for your body. The same Jesus who made the “maimed whole” and restored fingers, toes, and missing parts can restore every cell in your body to its original, perfect condition. He does all things well. He makes the deaf to hear and the dumb to speak, and He makes the sick body whole.

Scripture 3: 2 Corinthians 6:2

“(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)”

Living to Finish the Course

Say this out loud: “I will live long, and I will see how He can save.” Your destiny is not determined by a medical statistic; it is determined by the prophetic foundation of your life in Christ. You are not meant to be “pining and whimpering” under the weight of a demonic intrusion like cancer; you are meant to be a worshipper of God, standing on a level spot, filled with the peace and confidence of one who carries the presence of the Lord.

Jesus is sitting at the right hand of Majesty in a physical body, and He is going to change your body to be like His glorious one. Until then, He provides the “mini-quickening” needed to sustain you, heal you, and keep you until you finish your course. You lack nothing because the Lord is your Shepherd. You don’t lack healing, you don’t lack health, and you don’t lack days. Trust the Word, commit your way to Him, and watch as His glory covers your life.

Osteoarthritis and Healing Prayer: Drawing Strength from the Bank of Heaven

Osteoarthritis is often described as the “wear and tear” of the joints, but for the person living with it, the experience is far more than a clinical definition. It is the sharp pain when standing after rest, the stiffness in the knees or hips during a cold morning, and the audible “grating” sensation in the joints. As the protective cartilage wears thin, the resulting inflammation and swelling can make simple tasks—like opening a jar or walking to the mailbox—feel like insurmountable hurdles.

In the midst of this physical struggle, the greatest barrier to healing is often an uncertainty regarding the will of God. While many acknowledge that God “can” heal, modern theology has sometimes obscured the brilliant fact that He is “willing” to heal. Faith cannot boldly claim a blessing that it is unsure is offered. To move forward, we must realize that the power of God is only claimed where the will of God is known.

The Bank of Heaven

Imagine you have a thousand dollars deposited into a bank account in your name as a gift. Even if you have not seen the physical cash or held it in your hands, that money is legally yours. You act on that faith by drawing checks on that account to meet your needs. You aren’t “hoping” the money will appear; you are counting on something you do not see or feel because you have a record of the deposit.

Healing for our bodies operates on this same principle of the “emancipation proclamation.” Through the finished work of Christ, a treasury of health has been established for you. Osteoarthritis, from which you have been redeemed, does not belong to you, but healing does. You “check” on that healing by attempting in His name what you cannot do without Him. This is acting faith—drawing strength from the bank of God regardless of what the physical senses report.

Scripture 1: Jeremiah 30:17

“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord…”

The Good Shepherd’s Care

In the book of Ezekiel, the Lord reproved the shepherds of Israel because they failed to strengthen the diseased, heal the sick, or bind up what was broken. Because of this neglect, the Lord declared, “I, even I, will search my sheep and seek them out.” He took personal responsibility for the health of His flock.

If you feel like a “scattered sheep” dealing with the pain of bone-on-bone friction, know that the Good Shepherd is seeking you out. He does not desire for you to be malnourished or broken. He leads you into “fat pastures” and causes you to lie down in a good fold. This is a picture of prosperity and richness for your physical frame. He is not a distant observer of your pain; He is the One who binds up the broken and strengthens the sick.

A Choice of Polarity

The Scriptures set before us a choice: a blessing or a curse. This is not about God’s mood, but about the “polarity” of the power flowing into our lives. When we align our words and thoughts with the promises of God, the blessing causes a flow of increase and help. If we rebel or remain in unbelief, we inadvertently reverse that flow.

The Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If He was “Jehovah-Rapha” (the Lord our Healer) and “Jehovah-Nissi” (the Lord our Victory) in the Old Covenant, He has not abandoned those offices now. In fact, we are in a “better covenant” established on better promises. By what logic would He withdraw His mercy from us now? He still stretches forth His hand to heal, and He still delivers from every evil work.

Scripture 2: James 5:14

“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”

Faith Above Senses

One might say, “But I don’t feel healed. My joints still ache.” Feelings have very little to do with the legal reality of your redemption. It would be foolish to doubt the promise of Christ’s second coming simply because you woke up feeling weak or in pain. If a physical sensation is not a good reason to doubt one promise, it is not a good reason to doubt any promise.

True Christianity is the “Gospel of Evidence”—not the evidence of our symptoms, but the evidence of the supernatural presence of God touching the physical body. Just as Peter’s shadow became a point of contact for healing, the Word of God is your point of contact. You are to hold fast to your “profession” or “confession.” If He says you are healed by His stripes, your response must be, “I am healed,” even while the “mini-quickening” is beginning to work in your joints and bones.

The Earnest of Our Inheritance

While we wait for the day when our bodies are changed from corruptible to incorruptible, we can claim the “earnest” or the “firstfruits” of that life now. Think of it as a “mini-resurrection” for your joints. The same Spirit that will raise your whole body can reach over and touch your heart, your blood vessels, and your cartilage right now.

This life comes from God, through your spirit, and into your body. The brain is not the source of life; the Spirit of God is. When you abide in the Vine as a branch, there is a living connection maintained hourly and daily. The “sap” of the Holy Spirit flows unceasingly to strengthen what is sick and restore what has been worn down. You are a laborer together with God, and He girds you with strength for the journey.

Scripture 3: Psalm 18:32

“It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.”

Leap for Joy

The promise is that you will go forth and “leap for joy” like calves released from the stall. Osteoarthritis may have tried to stall your progress and limit your mobility, but the Word of God is an emancipation proclamation. You don’t lack healing, you don’t lack strength, and you don’t lack the days of life needed to finish your course.

Refuse to let tradition or “modern theology” rob God of His glory. Jesus healed everyone who appealed to Him, and He never suggested that staying sick was a better way to glorify the Father. Rise up and take your place in the Kingdom of evidence. Draw on the bank of heaven today, for the Treasury is full and the Master is willing.

Obesity and Healing Prayer: Restoring the Image of God in Your Body

The challenge of obesity is often viewed through the narrow lens of natural laws, calorie counting, and physical exertion. While these intermediary agencies have their place, there is a tendency to attach more importance to the remedy than to the direct action of God. When we become so occupied with the visible struggle, we can inadvertently intercept the presence of our God and turn away from the very Source of our life.

You were created in the image of God. Have you ever considered why you have the shape you have? Why two hands, two eyes, and a single heart? It is because you are patterned after God Himself. You are made in His likeness and His image. Because you are His masterpiece, your body is not meant to be a place of bondage or a “bitter pill” of toxicity and weight; it is meant to be a temple of liberty.

The Sweetness for the Bitter Water

In the wilderness, the Israelites encountered a waterhole that was bitter and undrinkable. Their natural instinct was to complain and look for a new source. But the Lord showed Moses a tree, and when that tree was cast into the water, the bitterness was made sweet.

Obesity and its related symptoms—the heaviness in the limbs, the strain on the heart, the shortness of breath, and the metabolic toxicity—can feel like a bitter malignancy that cannot be fixed. But the God we serve specializes in making the bitter sweet. Just as the tree changed the water, the “tree” of the Cross has already provided the restorative power to make your physical being clean, normal, and healthy.

Scripture 1: Isaiah 53:4

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.”

From Strength to Strength

When the physical senses report weakness or a lack of self-control, the natural man wants to retreat. However, the spiritual man must feed on the Word to gain the upper hand. You must feed your spirit even more than you realize. Hearing the truth of God’s provision has a “pounding effect” on your inner man, pushing out unbelief and fear.

Even when you feel weaker than you have ever felt, your confession must remain steadfast. You must say: “I am going from strength to strength. I am increasing with strength. I am moving from level to level of restoration.” This is not a theory; it is spiritual exercise. Just as you nourish your body, you must nourish your spirit with the revelation that you are washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus. You are not a “sinner” struggling with a “vice”; you are a redeemed child of God walking out your freedom.

The Lesson of Naaman’s Pride

We often see people fail to receive because of false preconceptions. Consider Naaman, a noble man who suffered from leprosy. When told to wash in the Jordan River, his pride was insulted. He thought there were better, more “logical” ways to be healed. It was only when he humbled himself and obeyed the simple Word of the Lord that his flesh was restored like that of a little child.

In the journey of overcoming obesity, pride or “ordinary means” might tell you that the Word is not enough. But the commands of God are not mere theories; they are the authority in Heaven and on earth. When you humble yourself to believe that “all things are possible to him that believes,” you tap into a power that transcends the laws of nature.

Scripture 2: Acts 10:38

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

Sickness is Oppression, Not a Teacher

The Spirit, speaking through the Book of Acts, makes it clear: Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. God does not use physical ailments or bodily struggles to teach you lessons. Sickness and disease, including the metabolic disorders associated with obesity, are recognized by the Spirit as satanic oppression.

God is not the author of the weight that slows you down; He is the author of the “wings” that help you rise. Malachi speaks of the Sun of Righteousness arising with healing in His beams. This healing is an inclusive promise. If the darker dispensations of the Old Testament offered mercy and compassion to sufferers, how much more does the glorious Gospel dispensation—built on a better covenant—offer you today?

The Year of Jubilee

In the Old Testament, the Year of Jubilee was the time when every lost possession was restored. If you had lost your land or your freedom, you got it back. Imagine the joy of laying down your shovel and heading home because the “Jubilee” had been declared.

You have a Jubilee for your body. If you have lost your health, your shape, or your vitality to the enemy’s oppression, today is the day to take back your “farm.” You are redeemed from the curse. You are washed. You are cleansed. You do not have to wait until you see the physical change to believe you are saved and restored; you believe it first, and then the manifestation follows.

Scripture 3: Matthew 8:17

“That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”

Refreshing the Soul and Body

The Literal Translation of the Psalms tells us, “My soul He refresheth.” This refreshment is not just for the “inner man,” though it begins there. As your spirit is fed and your soul is refreshed by the Word, it begins to affect your mortal flesh. The symptoms of life remain in a tree for a time even after it is cut down, but eventually, the old “death” must wither away because the source has been severed.

Continue to feed on these truths as if you have never heard them before. Let the Word of God be your shepherd. A real shepherd feeds the flock, and as you are fed on this revelation, you will find that you no longer desire the things that lead to bondage. You are a new creation. You are going from strength to strength, and the Lord is confirming His Word in your body with signs following.
