Bible Study on Healing: Seeing the Promise Fulfilled
Date: March 22, 2025
Introduction
Healing is not only a possibility but a promise from God. However, many believers struggle with receiving healing because they wait to see physical results before they believe. The Bible teaches us that faith is the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). We must choose to believe that healing has already taken place in the spiritual realm and visualize it as already done before we see the manifestation in our bodies.
Faith and the Power of Imagination
Jesus frequently emphasized the power of belief. In Mark 11:24, He said, “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” This means that faith requires us to see the outcome in our minds as already accomplished.
Consider the story of the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-34). She had suffered for twelve years, but in her heart, she saw herself healed before she ever touched Jesus’ garment. She declared, “If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.” The moment she acted on her belief, her healing was manifested.
Healing from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Through Faith
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common condition affecting the median nerve as it passes through a narrow tunnel in the wrist. The carpal tunnel is made up of the bones of your wrist, called carpals, and a thick ligament. The tunnel contains the tendons that bend your fingers and thumb as well as the median nerve. Sometimes the nerve gets squashed and causes symptoms such as pain, numbness, burning, or tingling in your thumb, index, and middle fingers, as well as part of the ring finger.
While medical treatments exist, we must remember that divine healing is also available. If you are experiencing carpal tunnel syndrome, begin to visualize your wrist functioning perfectly. Imagine yourself gripping objects without pain, playing an instrument, or typing without discomfort. Speak healing scriptures over yourself, such as:
- “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” (Psalm 107:20)
- “By His stripes, you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)
- “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits—Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.” (Psalm 103:2-3)
Acting on Your Faith
Faith is more than believing; it requires action. James 2:17 tells us that “faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” If you believe you are healed, begin to move in ways that reflect that belief. If carpal tunnel syndrome has hindered your activities, start using your hands in small ways, trusting that God is strengthening them.
Remember Peter walking on water (Matthew 14:28-31). As long as he kept his eyes on Jesus, he defied the natural laws of physics. But the moment he focused on the storm, he began to sink. Likewise, focus on God’s promises rather than your symptoms.
Testimony of Healing
Kenneth E. Hagin shared testimonies of people who received healing through faith. One account was of a woman suffering from severe arthritis in her hands. She visualized herself with healthy hands, free from pain, and acted on her faith by moving her fingers daily. Over time, her hands were completely restored.
Practical Steps to Strengthen Your Faith
- Meditate on Healing Scriptures – Faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Speak healing verses over yourself daily.
- Visualize Your Healing – Picture yourself completely well and free from symptoms.
- Speak in Agreement with God’s Word – Avoid confessing negative words. Instead, declare, “My hands are strong, and my nerves function perfectly in Jesus’ name!”
- Take Small Steps of Faith – Begin using your hands in faith, trusting God for strength and restoration.
- Praise God for Healing – Thank Him as though the healing has already manifested. Praise activates faith and releases God’s power.
Conclusion
Healing is a promise, but it must be received through faith. We must choose to believe that it has already happened in the spiritual realm, even before we see it physically. Just as the woman with the issue of blood saw her healing before she received it, we too must visualize and confess our healing. Trust in God’s Word, act on your faith, and see His promises fulfilled in your life.

Prayer for Healing
Father, I thank You that Jesus bore my sickness and carried my pains. I choose to believe that healing is already mine. I receive it by faith and see myself whole, strong, and healthy. I refuse to focus on symptoms but instead fix my eyes on Your Word. Thank You for healing me! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
