The Bible teaches us that God is a healer. From Genesis to Revelation, we see His heart for restoring His people, not only spiritually but also physically. Illness and disease, including conditions like primary bone cancer, are not too great for the power of God. No matter the diagnosis, we are called to trust in His unfailing love and healing power.
Primary bone cancer is a rare and serious condition that begins in the bones, distinct from secondary bone cancer, which spreads from another part of the body. Such a diagnosis may bring fear and uncertainty, but the Word of God provides hope and assurance. The Lord declares in Jeremiah 30:17, “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord.” His promise stands for all who believe. He is our refuge in times of trouble and our ever-present help in times of need (Psalm 46:1).
God’s Power Over Sickness
Throughout Scripture, we see that God is not limited by earthly conditions. Jesus demonstrated His power to heal all manner of diseases, including those that seemed incurable. In Matthew 4:24, it says, “News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them.” The same Jesus who healed then is still healing today.
When facing sickness, our focus must remain on God’s Word rather than on the disease. The enemy seeks to steal our hope, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Even when doctors give a difficult report, we must remember that God has the final word. Proverbs 4:20-22 tells us, “My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.” His Word carries life and healing power.
Faith in Action
Faith is essential in receiving healing. Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as “confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Many times, people in the Bible received healing because they acted in faith. The woman with the issue of blood believed that if she only touched Jesus’ garment, she would be healed (Mark 5:25-34). Her faith moved her to action, and she was completely restored.
When confronted with an illness like primary bone cancer, it is vital to anchor our faith in Jesus. He encourages us in Mark 11:24, “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Our prayers should align with His promises, declaring healing over our bodies and standing firm in the belief that He is our healer.
Standing on God’s Promises
God has given us many promises concerning health and healing. Exodus 15:26 states, “I am the Lord who heals you.” Psalm 103:2-3 declares, “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.” These verses remind us that God’s healing power is available to us today.
Even in challenging moments, we must refuse to be shaken. Isaiah 41:10 offers this encouragement: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” No matter what we face, God is with us, providing strength, comfort, and healing.
Healing Through the Power of Jesus
One of the greatest truths in Scripture is that Jesus took our sicknesses upon Himself at the cross. Isaiah 53:5 declares, “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.” Healing is part of the finished work of Christ. Just as He provided salvation through His sacrifice, He also provided healing for our bodies.
Jesus Himself demonstrated that healing is an integral part of His ministry. When He sent out the disciples, He instructed them, “Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you’” (Luke 10:9). Healing is part of God’s kingdom, and we, as believers, have access to that power through faith in Jesus.
A Testimony of God’s Healing Power
There are countless testimonies of God’s miraculous healing power. People who were given no hope by doctors have been completely restored by God’s grace. The same God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Lazarus from the dead, and who healed the leper is the same God who hears our prayers today.
A testimony of healing can be a powerful source of encouragement. In Revelation 12:11, we are reminded that “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Sharing stories of God’s healing builds faith and reminds us that what He has done before, He can do again.
Trusting in God’s Plan
While we stand in faith for healing, we also trust in God’s perfect will. His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9), and He sees the bigger picture. Whether healing comes instantly, gradually, or in an unexpected way, we continue to trust in His goodness. Romans 8:28 assures us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
Our role is to remain steadfast in prayer, continue declaring His promises, and trust Him through every step of the journey. Healing is not always just physical; sometimes, God is working on a deeper level, bringing spiritual and emotional restoration.

No sickness, including primary bone cancer, is beyond God’s ability to heal. He is the Lord our healer, and He desires wholeness for His children. As we place our trust in Him, speak His Word over our lives, and stand in faith, we can walk in confidence that His healing power is at work.
