Head Lice and Healing Prayer: Finding Freedom and Peace

The Living Miracle-Worker

Head lice and nits can cause irritation, itching, crawling sensations, embarrassment, and sleeplessness. They seem small, yet they can bring big discouragement. But no matter how small or large the affliction, Jesus Christ is still the same Healer. The most common and tired tradition we hear is that “the age of miracles has passed.” But that is not true—it is unscriptural and dishonors the Holy Spirit, who is still at work today.

The Holy Spirit is not retired. He is God’s only Miracle-Worker, the same Spirit who healed the multitudes during Jesus’ ministry. Every miracle Jesus performed—whether cleansing a leper, opening blind eyes, or delivering the oppressed—was the Spirit revealing the will of the Father. When Jesus ascended, the Spirit did not cease. He entered His own dispensation, the age of the Church, to continue the works of Christ through believers.

When lice infest the scalp or hair, they invade the very part of the body that symbolizes anointing. Yet the same God who anointed the head of David with oil still anoints yours with healing power. He restores peace where irritation once ruled. Remember Psalm 23: “Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” That oil of the Spirit is not just a symbol of joy—it’s a real force of life that destroys the works of the enemy. Lice are parasites, but the Holy Spirit is a purifier. Every unclean thing must flee when His anointing flows.

When you believe that “the age of miracles” is gone, you close the door to the One who performs them. But when you believe, the Spirit manifests Christ’s victory again. Jesus said, “All things are possible to him that believeth.” (Mark 9:23) “All things” includes health, peace, and deliverance—even from small torments that trouble daily life.

Healing is not imaginary or mystical; it is practical and present. God cares for the details. He does not overlook discomfort or dismiss physical needs. He said in 3 John 2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health.” That includes your scalp, your body, and your peace of mind.

As you trust Him, let faith rise higher than irritation. Let gratitude overflow. Thank Him that His Spirit is still at work. Thank Him that Jesus’ name still heals. Thank Him that you are His temple, and He knows how to cleanse and set His temple free from all domination of sickness, sin, or Satan. The Holy Spirit—the same Miracle-Worker who raised Jesus from the dead—dwells in you. You are not beyond help. Your healing has already begun.

Healing in His Name

When you call on the name of Jesus, you are invoking the power that healed the multitudes. Scripture says, “His name through faith in His name has made this man strong.” (Acts 3:16) The same name that brought strength to a crippled man can bring wholeness to your body and freedom from infestation.

Head lice may cause itching, restlessness, sleepless nights, and anxiety, but these symptoms do not have authority over you. God grants healing to glorify Jesus’ name. Every healing—whether small or great—is meant to shine light on His love. Miracles still happen because Jesus is still alive.

It is God’s will to glorify His Son in His Church, and He will do it wherever He finds faith. Whether among the sick, the weary, or the embarrassed, He is ready to manifest His power. The lice that irritate your scalp are no match for the Spirit that raised Christ from the grave. When the power of His name fills your heart, the body follows. Let the name of Jesus be magnified above the discomfort, the shame, and the pestering.

In the Gospels, “as many as touched the hem of His garment were made perfectly whole.” (Matthew 14:36) That means healing flowed to every person who reached for Him. Reach in faith now. You don’t need to earn His attention—He has already set His eyes on you. Believe that the cleansing power of His Spirit flows through you, purifying your scalp and skin, restoring peace and comfort.

Faith is not waiting for “someday.” It’s believing that what God says is true right now. “By His stripes you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24) That includes you—today, this hour. Your body belongs to the Lord, and He is raising it up in health.

Let this be your confession:

“The same Spirit who healed multitudes through Jesus lives in me. The same name that made the lame walk makes me whole. I am healed in body and in mind, for my body is the Lord’s temple, and He dwells in me.”

When you believe this, even others around you begin to believe. Healing faith spreads—like light in darkness. The same Jesus who calmed storms calms your body now. Lice and irritation must leave; peace and rest must return.

Lift your hands and say, “Lord Jesus, I thank You that Your name is above every name—above disease, discomfort, and every torment. I receive Your healing today.”

Your head is anointed. Your life is covered. And His name still heals—completely.

Food Allergies and Healing Prayer: Finding Freedom and Wholeness

Recovery of Sight and the Restoration of the Body

Jesus came “to bring recovery of sight to the blind” (Luke 4:18). This verse does not only reveal His compassion—it reveals His mission. The word recovery means restoration to a former or better condition. Healing is not a new invention of faith—it is a divine restoration, a returning to the way God originally designed the body to function. Whether that means blind eyes opening or a body recovering from food allergies, His will is the same: to restore what has been lost.

Food allergies can make daily life feel dark and uncertain. A person may live with constant fear of reaction—hives, swelling, digestive distress, or even anaphylaxis. These symptoms make meals feel unsafe, and the world feels smaller. But Jesus came to remove darkness—He is still the One who opens blind eyes and heals broken bodies.

In the Greek, the word “blind” (tuphlos) carries the sense of something “darkened or smoky.” Allergies can make your body feel exactly that way—fogged, weary, inflamed, and overreactive. Yet Jesus steps into that mist and says, “I am your light.” Healing, whether of sight or immune system, begins when His Word enters the darkness.

Jesus said to the man at the pool, “Rise, take up your bed, and walk” (John 5:8). He did not tell him to wait for a feeling—He gave a command to act in faith. In the same way, you can act on His Word. Faith is not pretending the allergy isn’t real; faith is believing that God’s Word is more real. The body may shout its symptoms, but the Word of God speaks a higher truth: “By His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

James 5:14 reminds us to call for the elders of the church for prayer, because faith is strengthened in community. Do not battle alone. The moment you reach out, you open a door for God’s healing power to flow through others toward you. Healing often begins with humility—a willingness to receive help and prayer.

Let your heart be like Bartimaeus, the blind man who cried out despite the crowd’s rebuke. When Jesus called him, he threw off his cloak—the symbol of his blindness—and came running. You too can throw off the garment of fear and sickness. Say aloud, “The Lord restores me! The Lord heals my body!”

The recovery of sight is also the recovery of vision—to see yourself whole again. Healing for food allergies begins not in the digestive tract, but in the heart that believes restoration is possible. You are not forsaken. Jesus has already placed healing in your account; faith is simply drawing from that divine treasury.

Faith that Triumphs—Jehovah-Nissi Still Heals

The same God who said, “I am the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26) also revealed Himself as Jehovah-Nissi—“The Lord our Victory.” He has not changed. The battles we face today, whether food allergies, autoimmune conditions, or chronic fatigue, are not beyond His reach. What is impossible to medicine is not impossible to mercy.

The Apostle Paul called us “laborers together with God” (1 Corinthians 3:9). Healing is not passive; it is partnership. You bring your faith, He brings His power. You may feel weary from restrictive diets, constant label-checking, or reactions that come without warning. But take courage—He has not left you powerless. The Holy Spirit lives within you to quicken your mortal body (Romans 8:11).

Many who battle food allergies also wrestle with fear—the fear of eating, the fear of public spaces, or of their own body betraying them. Yet Psalm 18:32 says, “It is God who girds me with strength, and makes my way perfect.” God strengthens the immune system, restores the gut, and renews the mind. Every cell can respond to the voice of its Creator.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). As you read the promises of healing, you are not just learning—you are receiving. Healing flows Spirit to spirit, not merely from page to intellect. When Jesus said to the woman with the issue of blood, “Daughter, your faith has made you well,” it was her hearing and believing that released power. She pressed through the crowd and touched Him. You too can press through doubt, memories of reactions, and medical limitations to touch the living Word.

Your allergy does not define you—your covenant does. You are a child of Abraham through faith, and healing is your inheritance. Heaven has no allergies, no fear of food, no immune confusion. God’s will for earth mirrors His will for heaven. “Now thanks be unto God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ” (2 Corinthians 2:14).

So, begin to “check” your healing account. Just as you would draw funds from a bank you trust, draw health from the promises of God. Thank Him daily for restored digestion, peace after meals, and freedom from fear. Say aloud, “I have the life of God in me.”

Healing may begin gradually, like light dawning after a long night—but it will come. Jehovah-Nissi is still your banner of victory. He surrounds you with mercy and fills your table with goodness. Stand firm in faith, and watch the Lord of Triumph make you whole again—spirit, soul, and body.

Flat Feet and Healing Prayer: Finding Strength and Alignment

The Blind Man and the Healing of the Feet

In John 9, the disciples asked Jesus why the man was born blind. “Was it his sin or his parents’ sin?” But Jesus replied, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him” (John 9:3). Sometimes, our suffering is not the result of sin, but rather an opportunity for the glory of God to be revealed through healing.

Flat feet can cause pain in the ankles, knees, hips, and even the lower back. It can make walking or standing difficult and bring a sense of weariness to the legs and spirit alike. Yet Jesus still says today, “This happened that the works of God might be displayed.” There is no deformity, no weakness, no imbalance that is too small or too hidden for His touch.

In Luke 13:16, Jesus said of the woman bowed together for eighteen years, “Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, be loosed from this bond?” Sickness is a form of bondage, but Christ came to loose us. The same voice that spoke to the crippled woman calls to you: Be loosed today.

Sometimes, we open doors through ignorance. We might not know that healing belongs to us, or we might not know how to stand against the enemy’s lies. But ignorance cannot stop grace when faith arises. God’s Word declares, “Now is the accepted time; now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

If you’ve ever felt your steps falter, remember this: the One who made your feet to walk in His paths will not leave them unhealed. Just as Jesus quickened the weary, He will quicken your feet. He will strengthen your arches, your tendons, your joints, and restore your gait with joy.

When fatigue sets in, say aloud: “Lord, You are the strength of my feet and the life of my body. With Your stripes I am healed” (Isaiah 53:5). Don’t watch the symptoms—walk by faith, not by sight. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, and He will quicken your mortal body. The healing begins the moment you believe.

Faith means walking before you see the full manifestation. The ten lepers were healed as they went (Luke 17:14). Every step you take is a step of faith declaring, My God is healing my feet. He restores my stride, my balance, and my strength.

Strengthened to Stand and Walk in the Spirit

In Acts 4:29–31, the disciples prayed for boldness and healing power. The place was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Immediately, signs and wonders followed. Healing is not a side note to the gospel—it is part of its very power.

Flat feet may seem small compared to blindness or paralysis, but God does not measure miracles by size. Every act of healing reveals His love. Every restoration of motion glorifies His design.

The Bible says in Psalm 18:33, “He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me upon my high places.” God gives spiritual and physical strength to stand where you once fell. The same hands that healed the high priest’s servant’s ear (Luke 22:51) are the hands that touch your arches and bones.

Refuse to accuse God of what the enemy has done. Death, disease, and deformity are not His gifts—they are the works of the thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly—even in your steps.

When you wake, declare, “I will go in the strength of the Lord God.” Every twinge of pain is a call to faith, not fear. Every ache is an invitation to say, “Lord, strengthen my inner man, and let Your life flow into my feet.”

Rest in Him as the branch rests in the vine. Don’t strive or worry. Let the sap of divine life flow through you. Healing doesn’t come by struggle, but by abiding. As you rest, the life of the Vine flows into every cell and tendon.

Jesus, your Healer, still speaks: “Rise, take up your bed, and walk.” Even if your feet feel flat, believe that divine alignment is at work. You are not walking alone. His steps are your steps. The Shepherd leads you on level ground, and soon, your feet will rejoice as your heart does.

For “the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up” (James 5:15).

Walk on, beloved. The ground beneath you is holy, and the feet that walk upon it are being healed by His glory.
