Standing on Biblical Truths for Kidney Healing
When you face something as frightening as kidney cancer, with its exhausting symptoms—fatigue that settles heavy on the body, back or side pain that doesn’t easily lift, weight loss that feels unexplainable, or nausea that tries to steal strength—you need more than a positive thought. You need spirit food. You need medicine for your flesh, the kind God Himself prescribes.
Just as your body knows what to do with natural food—breaking it down, taking in nutrients, sending strength where weakness tries to reign—so your spirit knows what to do with the Word of God. You may not fully understand every verse, every genealogy, or every description of ancient land borders, but the Word still works. You swallow it by faith, and it begins to operate inside you. “Lord, I thank You for this Word. It is life to me.” That simple prayer opens the door for healing power to flow.
Galatians 3:13 declares that Jesus redeemed you from the curse of the law, which includes sickness. How could God justify you by the blood of His Son and then require you to stay under a curse Jesus already bore? He can’t and He won’t. The cross was not partial work. It was a great exchange: “For He made Him to be sin for us… that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” Righteousness includes the right to healing—your healing.
Matthew 12:15 says, “Great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.” Not a handful. Not the lucky few. All. Tens of thousands at a time. Crowds so vast that the disciples struggled to imagine the scale. And in every massive crowd, Jesus never ran out of power. If He didn’t run out then, He hasn’t run out now. You are not one request too many. You are not overlooked among the multitude. He sees you, calls you by name, and says the same thing He said to the leper: “I will—be thou clean.” Christ’s “I will” cancels every fearful “if.”
Numbers 21 reminds us of Israel looking at the bronze serpent. People who had been bitten, poisoned, and dying—yet when they looked, they lived. Jesus Himself said this pointed to Him. Cancer may feel like a serpent’s bite, spreading toxins through your life, but the command is still the same: Look and live. Look at Christ lifted up. Look at His finished work. Look until your heart knows: Healing is mine.
The Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11) works in you now. Resurrection power does not stop at salvation; it reaches into your body. If He can raise a dead body, He can heal a living one. Your kidneys are not beyond His reach. His life is flowing.
Hold fast your confession. Not “I hope,” but “By His stripes I am healed, and His Word is life to my flesh.”
This is your medicine. Take it daily.
Finding Strength and Victory Over Cancer
Healing is both a promised gift and an offered gift. Promises can make us wait, but gifts require us to take hold. God has already placed healing in your spiritual “account” through Christ. It is like a friend depositing $100,000 into your bank—your job is not to check your empty wallet but to check the passbook. The Word is your passbook. It tells you what already belongs to you.
Kidney cancer may try to tell you otherwise. The symptoms may speak loudly—sharp pains in the side, swelling in the legs, exhaustion that interrupts sleep, or appetite changes that drain your strength. But symptoms are not the banker. They cannot override the deposit God has made. Christ purchased your healing, and the Holy Spirit administers it.
Reconciliation means exchange. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting sins against us. Because of that exchange, you have the right to say, “I am blessed. I am forgiven. I am healed.” If Jesus were standing beside your hospital bed in bodily form, He would say exactly what His ambassadors still say: “Be reconciled to God. Receive what I purchased for you. Take your healing.”
Abraham shows us how. God said, “A father of many nations have I made you.” Past tense. So Abraham took the name God gave him—Father of Multitudes—before he saw one miracle. You also take your healing identity before you feel it. You call yourself what God calls you: healed, restored, fully redeemed.
Unwillingness to surrender to God can block healing, but surrender is not fear—it is trust. Israel rebelled in the wilderness, yet when the serpents bit them, Moses interceded and God provided a cure. Moses didn’t scold them or condemn them. He prayed. And when the people looked at the bronze serpent, they lived. Healing came not to the perfect, but to the willing.
You may have days when you feel discouraged, when your body feels weak, or when your heart wonders how much more you can bear. But Christ wants the foundation of your thoughts to be this: “Christ cares for all. He cares for all of this. He cares for all of me.”
Some people say, “Maybe it’s my time to go.” But Scripture shows us that Jesus healed multitudes, welcomed all who came, and never once said, “It’s your time.” Healing is not earned. It is given. And Scripture urges us to hold fast our confession so that what Christ has done for us may be done in us.
The law of the Spirit of life is at work in you now. Life that heals. Life that restores. Life that lifts what the fall tried to steal. This is recovery of all lost in the fall—strength, years, hope, joy, and health.
Take the offered gift. Speak what God says. Look to Jesus. And live.
